The actual act of training a dog is a very small part of our education system. By the time students are done, it is unlikely that they will see the need to train too much. However, for the sake of completeness, we do include this module. Here students will learn about the different types of training, key terminology and techniques used in training. Students will also be encouraged to apply their learning thus far to develop guidelines for themselves on how they might approach training and how to remain "polite" to the dog through out. The unit includes one practical task, to put it all to use. While we do not anticipate our students to need to train much, this is in preparation of the rare occasion where training might be needed.
